The Croatian footballer recently transferred to Al-Shabab, a Saudi Arabian club, where he will earn 15 million euros for one season. He stated that he chose Al-Shabab after reading about the club’s history and sees it as a symbol of his dedication to supporting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its goals and aspirations for the future.

His previous stints included playing for Sevilla after leaving Schalke in 2007, then moving to Barcelona from 2014 to 2020 before returning to Sevilla. With Barcelona, he won the Spanish league title four times, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Champions League in 2015, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2016.

He also achieved success with Sevilla, winning the UEFA Europa League twice.
