Partizan brutally disadvantaged in the final moments of the match against Virtus?!
1 min readThe recent Euroleague game had a significant detail that influenced the final outcome. It occurred in the last two minutes and 10 seconds of the match. At that point, Partizan had a two-point lead (77:75) and possession of the ball from under their basket.
Aleksa Avramović took the throw-in, but Ajzea Kordinije managed to prevent Kevin Panter from catching the ball that bounced towards the sideline. The Partizan captain sought to retain his team’s possession, but Kordinije reacted excellently once again. He jumped and caught the ball in front of Avramović, after which he scored easily.
However, neither the referees nor, it seems based on the reactions, anyone from Partizan noticed that the Frenchman caught the ball after jumping from out of bounds. The Euroleague released a video of the best moments from the game, and the controversial situation from the final minutes can be seen at the 2:30 mark. Partizan now has a record of 12 wins and 13 losses, occupying the 11th spot in the Euroleague standings.
