Opinion of Brnabić about the verdict for the murder of Ćuruvija

Brnabić, speaking on TV Prva, stated that the trial for the murder of Ćuruvija began in 2015, 16 years after the murder, and questioned why it wasn’t done when it happened. “It took 16 years after the murder for (Aleksandar) Vučić to come to power to initiate proceedings regarding the murder, we pushed and I can’t say that we have any influence on the judiciary in Serbia because it is independent,” Brnabić assessed. She said they will continue to insist on finding the killer and added that “Branka Prpa was a defense witness and said they were not the killers.”
